Deep Tissue Massage in Exeter, Tiverton and Barnstaple Devon.
Deep tissue massage is one of the most effective forms of massage treatment to treat pain and injury. Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue which usually occurs from injury, overuse or bad posture

With deep tissue massage fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows, forearms and massage tools are used and the therapist concentrates on areas of tension and pain. The therapist stays in contact with the client to ensure that the client is happy with the pressure being used.

Massage therapists may use fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows, and forearms during the deep tissue massage.
As the massage therapist works on certain tense tight muscles you may be asked to breath deeply, as this helps the muscles to relax.

After your treatment you will be given a glass of water, and advised to drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush metabolic waste from the tissues.
According to the August 2005 issue of Consumer Reports magazine, 34,000 people ranked deep tissue massage more effective in relieving osteoarthritis pain than physical therapy, exercise, prescription medications, chiropractic, acupuncture, diet, glucosamine and over-the-counter drugs.

People often notice improved range of motion immediately after a deep tissue massage.
